Clear Forms

Clear Forms references an image of transparent, plastic leg forms used for sock and hosiery displays that I found online. Continuing an interest in practical special effects, I attempted to recreate the shadows, highlights, and reflections of a clear plastic surface on a black background by applying black and white makeup to a performer’s body. The contours of human feet contrast the smooth, plastic forms used in retail display. The print is nearly life-size, and holds space for the body normally absent in display props.
